Weekend

Amidst of all the panic, yours truly has been tagged. Me being the obliging kind of fellow felt, I’d take a tiny break (therapeutic at times this feels) and see what I can jot down. Here goes :

Friday (Since when does Friday belong to the weekend? You’ll understand soon)

• Bachelors party – Had a blaast! I went pretty light on the Alco, coz of a packed Saturday. Spiked a bong. Everybody was flying! Paaarty till 4am.

Saturday

• Morning Alms giving – After partying like crazy had to be at the temple by 6.30am. Ahhrrggg. Thank god the for hot showers in the joint we were at. I managed to wake my self up after that, jog to the bus stand through a drizzle and jump into a bus.
• MBA Interview – Straight from the temple, home change and drive like Crazy to Moratuwa. They hadn’t time slotted us, egads! So had to wait there from 9am till 1.30pm till I was called. No breakfast, no lunch and no water!! Interview didn’t go that well either.
• Go to the Hotel, and settle for the best looking free Table Decor they can provide us. We’ve left out a Salad from the Menu, so I pick a Tuna something something salad. Asked the guy about Menu Tasting. Sadly they provide menu-tasting only for more than 350 packs. Sorry Gutter.
• Uncle’s B’Day. Dinner at Fav family haunt. Flower Drum. Yumm. Only prob with family is they keep ordering the same old. I’m not paying the bill, so can’t afford to complain.

Sunday

• Slept till about 9am. Ahh the life.
• Got worked up! Miss communication. (Seems to be happening a lot) Small tiff.
• Finally get it right and off to take the Flower Girl and Cindy for Fit on 11am.
• Pick up the Wedding Cake.
• Pack up my Computer and other small tech toys and unload them at CIndy’s.
• Grab some lunch at Mac – 4pm. Since the car wasn’t around walked to Mac. Have done this walk many times for the past 7 years, but then it was with are hearts in our mouths, constantly looking over our shoulders, afraid of being seen/noticed. Once we finally got the approval, I had manged to acquire the automobile assistance, so it never occurred to us. The simple joys. Taken for granted. Holding each others hand, swinging away (like 3-4 year olds) mild drizzle on our backs, walking without a care (except for crossing those 1-way roads).
• Get the gang rounded up to start stuffing putting the cake into the boxes. 4.45pm
• Drag the groomsmen for a haircut. Not the fancy cutting station, but a bit of la passion. Hope the plan works out. If so you’d see pics!
• Come home dead tired. Want to get on the net. Realize that I can’t. Fixed my router at Cindy’s.
