Royal vs Isipatha Rugger Match

Just thought I’d let the guys (and girls if there are any) who are interested that my fixtures were wrong, and the match will be played today, the 2nd of May, CR & FC. 4.30 Kick-off!

The match is going to be the key, in guessing what both teams outcomes are likely to be in the league. Specially what chances are of Royal retaining the Bradby, as we know Trinity thrashed Pathana 29-10 last week. Definitely a thriller match, because the legal issues surrounding the last encounter seem to be have put a side, for the Major Milroy Fernando Trophy. So there might be things to prove to each side.

Well in the perspective of the Bradby, what ever happens between Trinity and Pathana and Royal and Pathana, or for that any other common opponent does not mean anything.

The Bradby is a different game, different context, different atmosphere and most of all it is an ultimate Pride issue for both schools. It is the mentality, the approach and may be some luck on the two days that decides the outcome.

It is the most unpredictable encounter of Sri Lanka rugby in most years.

Well said Hakim! However deep down we all want to know what kind of chances our team has at the Bradby. This is just such an occasion like I’ve mentioned in my post with the Fixtures, it’s too early in the season to call out any favourites and the Bradby is a long time away. In the mean time Players may improve, there may be injuries (god for bid) slumps and triumphs. Not to mention come Bradby time, the past is forgotten, and often under-dogs have beaten the mighty. All that said we’d like to have our own little gauge on the situ. This is the perfect opportunity.
